I've always been an artist. Presenting...Galveston Garden Plates

I've always been an artist. Playing the drums, piano, making people laugh with comedy, acting, being Anita Bump....etc... Creativity and performance are part of my DNA. So excited about my new business endeavor! I've been so busy the last few weeks trying to launch my art. I've finally got enough pieces now to start showing, promoting and selling. My first art show is in less than 2 weeks and I still have much to do in preparation for my big night. I'm thoroughly enjoying expressing myself creatively through art again. I took a break for awhile and once this opportunity presented itself I jumped! If you can't make it to one of the art shows or festivals that I'll be attending in the near future you can purchase any of my creations from my Facebook page, Galveston Garden Plates. Once a plate is created, it is photographed and placed on the Facebook page immediately. Unless "SOLD" appears as the picture's caption, the plate is available for purchase. Plates range from $40-$65. I hope everyone enjoys these as much as I am!!! I'll be at Galveston ArtWalk on Saturday, March 3rd from 6pm-9pm set up in front of Luna Home & Gifts on the corner of 22nd and Church. I hope to see many of you there!

Mardi Gras, Amateur Day and assholes...

Mardi Gras is over! Praise the Goddamn fucking lord! That's got to be the biggest white trash "holiday" of the year. I fucking hate it. What's the fucking point!? I'm so confused. A parade. Beads. Acting like a moron and using alcohol as your excuse. Trashing my city. Honestly, even when I drank I never really understood what I was celebrating. I mean do these people realize how douchey they're acting and how they look!? No....and they don't give a fuck. To each his own. I'm glad it's over. 

Valentine's day is today. In  the restaurant industry we refer to it as "amateur day". It's the first and last day of the year that many Americans will venture into a restaurant. Another day I look forward to  being over. LOL....I sound like an asshole today. So many things are getting on my nerves lately. I'm about to snap. 

One of my biggest pet peeves in life are people who are focused  on such insignificant things. There's all this shit happening around them and they have lost focus. That's why there's so much BIG shit happening around them.....because they're focused on the little shit that doesn't really matter. These are the people that also think they're smarter and better than everyone else. These are the assholes of the world. It really gets under my skin. 

My lover just made me banana pancakes, so I gotta go!

New adventure and BEST BARTENDER!!!

It's been a couple of years since my last post on here.  I need to keep up with this. It's like a digital journal.  It's very therapeutic for me. I've taken on a new adventure and I'm pretty darn excited. I'm not quite ready to go public with my announcement,  but it's coming very soon.  I spent a good deal of time in my new studio over the last few weekends and progression is showing. I'll make my announcement in the next 2 weeks.

One thing that's happened that is pretty damn cool is that I was voted as the Best Bartender on Galveston Island for the year!!! An incredible honor that I'm thoroughly enjoying every moment in which I get to gloat.
